a site to help students of A Level Economics develop the necessary knowledge and understanding to do well in their exams but to also realise that economics truly lives and breathes and casts is shadow over us and around us every day.

and so I start...
Well hello. OK I'm a frustrated economics teacher, frustrated in that I really can't find a site which helps my students do even better in their A Levels. Don't get me wrong and please go and have a look at websites out their, but whenever I find websites to do with A level Economics most of them have grown way too big (developing monopolies me thinks) and perhaps have lost their focus. I'm a normal bloke who simply wants to help my students understand the economics topics I'm covering in a way that will help them do even better.
So I want to cover the syllabus (mine is OCR Economics) in a way that students find easy to understand - I dont want to be so clever that it becomes difficult to piece together. I want to find some supporting materials like video clips and newspaper clips, that will support my students, offer links to information that will keep students' knowledge up to date and maybe ask a few questions along the way.
You know as I sit here typing away I've realised something - this blog will develop as I go along. That's really important because just as in economics I'll be revisiting my learning and pieceing everything together as my skills develop.
So I hope you find this blog useful to you and if you find something on an economics topic that has been useful to you please send a copy or a link!
One last thing - I'm a teacher - I dont have time off to fully devote to this site so you'll see it develop pretty much as I teach the topics I'm covering in class. Good luck
